Liability: from partner to family

Accidents happen, especially with little ones. A knocked-over vase at the neighbor's or damage to a parked car from a child's bike? With family cover on your liability insurance (AVP), you, your partner, and your children are insured for damage to others.

Health insurance: the 4-month rule

Children up to 18 years old are co-insured for free under health insurance, but you must register them. Do this within 4 months of birth with one of the parents' insurers. If you do it late, you are only insured from the moment of registration, and earlier costs are at your own expense.

Higher home contents value

A stroller, the nursery, new electronics, and clothing: baby gear quickly costs thousands of euros. Your contents value increases significantly. Check whether your current policy still offers sufficient coverage to prevent underinsurance.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to take out a separate insurance for my child?

No, for non-life insurance such as home contents and liability, it is sufficient to convert your existing policy to a family version.
